Bookings OPEN for our first ever virtual conference!
Join us from the comfort of your own home on Saturday 10th October 2020 for our annual badger-themed get-together! This year, we're moving online with a virtual conference. Register on Eventbrite, then join us for the morning session, the afternoon session or both!
Registration is FREE and we're asking participants to consider making a donation to cover our costs for the day. What you donate is up to you, so we hope this will make the conference affordable and accessible to all. Suggested donation is £10 for a half day and £20 for the full day.
Here's what to expect:
Morning Session, 10am - 12noon
Meet IFAW Award winning Debbie Bailey - wildlife rehabilitator, expert witness and coordinator of the Derbyshire Badger Vaccination Project.
Hear from Alex Koscielski from Siemens Rail Automation on community responsibility in their work, and their involvement in our Earn Your Stripes project.
Plus videos on Animation Activism and more ...
Afternoon Session, 2pm - 4pm
Learn the most up-to-date information on badger behaviour around farmland and forestry with Enda Mullen from the National Parks and Wildlife Service in Ireland.
Hear from Michael McCaskill, MRes student from the University of Glasgow, as he presents the results of his groundbreaking research into the spatial distribution and temporal use of above-ground badger nests in central Scotland.
Plus our Badger Bytes videos on badger tracks, trails and signs ...
We look forward to welcoming you online for our first ever virtual conference. When you register, you'll be sent the link to join us on Zoom. A week before the event, we'll send a reminder email with the joining link and instructions. There is an online event page on Eventbrite where we'll also share information in the run-up to the event.
We hope to see you on the 10th October!
